Different companies has got different metrics when it comes to hiring. At Xfers, we believe that hardworking triumph “smartness” no matter what, and sometimes there isn’t a correlation between an interview performance vs an on the job performance. Our interview process should be optimized to bring people on board as quickly as possible, and helping that individual to grow within the company.

What do we look for

We look for the same thing no matter what kind of role you are in. An ideal candidate should display the following qualities:

  • Self Discipline. We want to see that you have a history of doing things consistently for at least 1 year, and not giving up. Some examples could be:
  • Maintaining an online blog, social media account, youtube videos.
  • TopCoder / HackerRank / Github profile
  • Completion of online MOOC courses consistently.
  • Teaching yourself something new
  • Participation in a sports group, volunteer group etc.
  • A desire to learn. We want to see how you are actively looking at developing yourself. You must be able to understand what are your current limitations, and have a roadmap on how you intend to invest in yourself on a daily basis.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit. We will love to have someone who dare to take risks and to challenge themselves in solving tough problems; thereby putting themselves in an uncomfortable position as a result. As the adage goes: “Life is tough, why not make it tougher?”
  • Love of the Xfers product, and believing in Xfers’s mission
